Business Development Manager (Digital Services)

To support continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team.

Location: Manchester or Chesterfield

Job type: Full time, permanent. 35 hours per week

Salary: Circa £45,000 to £52,000 (depending on experience) plus OTE

Working model: In-office / Hybrid – remote

About the Role

To support continued growth, we are looking for a Business Development Manager (Digital Services) to join our team.

This is a hands-on, revenue-driving role for someone who knows how agency new business works and can hit the ground running.

You’ll be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and converting new opportunities across CNS Media’s core digital services, working closely with our senior digital and delivery teams to bring the right opportunities through the door.
This role is ideal for someone who has already succeeded in a similar role within a digital or advertising agency and is now looking for a business where they can make a real impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new business opportunities for CNS’s Digital Services (predominantly Paid Digital, SEO, Website Design and Email Marketing)
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, proposal, negotiation, and close
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified digital opportunities
  • Engage senior stakeholders on the client side (Marketing Directors, Heads of Digital, Owners, MDs)
  • Work closely with internal digital specialists to shape commercially viable solutions
  • Represent CNS Media at networking events, industry events, and client meetings
  • Accurately forecast pipeline and revenue performance
  • Deliver against monthly and quarterly revenue targets

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a commercial / new business role within a digital or advertising agency
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing services (predominantly Paid Digital, SEO, Website Design and Email Marketing)
  • Demonstrable track record of closing new business and growing digital revenue
  • Confident engaging with senior client stakeholders
  • Self-starter who can operate with autonomy and momentum
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills

Desirable:

  • Experience selling multi-service digital retainers or website projects
  • Existing network of marketing decision-makers
  • Experience working with mid-market or multi-location brands
