Housekeeping Manager
Chetham’s seeks a full time Housekeeping Manager to lead the team to ensure the provision of an effective, high standard service to Chetham’s.
Located in the heart of Manchester, Chetham’s is a truly magical place. It is home to the UK’s largest specialist music school, the oldest public library in the English-speaking world, and The Stoller Hall – a world-class concert venue. Together, these form a unique centre of musical excellence, heritage, and learning.
The Role
- The role is 35 hours per week, some flexible working, with occasional evenings and weekends
- The purpose of the role will be to provide an efficient, pro-active and organised domestic, cleaning and operational service to Chetham’s.
- Leadership and management of the team of Domestic Supervisors, Team Leaders, Porters, Laundry staff and Domestic Assistants in the day-to-day delivery of cleanliness and hygiene across the school will be required with the support of the Deputy Housekeeping Manager.
- The team works year-round, Monday to Sunday.

- Salary of £35,876.30 (SCP 26 – SCP 28).
