We want everybody to share an ambitious vision for Bradford city centre. The BID has been designed to create a vibrant and thriving city centre that attracts increased footfall from both local people and visitors from elsewhere, so that all our businesses flourish and prosper. Whether people live or work in Bradford or are simply visiting, our goal is that they are motivated to stay for longer, spend more and return more frequently.

The Bradford BID Business Relationship Coordinator acts as the primary liaison between the BID Management Team and Member Businesses. They will build relationships, communicate project benefits, encourage participation in initiatives, and address Member Business needs. They keep all data up to date and ensure businesses have regular direct contact with the BID.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Relationship Management: Acting as the main point of contact for businesses, visiting them to discuss needs, feedback, and engagement opportunities.
  • Strategic Communication: Working with the team to deliver the BID Business Plan, communicating upcoming projects, events, and initiatives.
  • Partnership Building: Connecting businesses with the Local Authority, West Yorkshire Police, Third Sector Organisations and stakeholders to deliver a ‘Positive Environment’.
  • Business Support: Identifying business needs, offering tailored solutions. Ensuring all BID Members are accessing the membership benefits and seeing a clear return on their investment.
  • Bradford Gift Card Programme: Liaising with venues who accept the Gift Card to
ensure any issues are quickly resolved. Promoting the scheme to new members.
  • Events: Supporting the BID Management Team during business support events. Attend BID events such as AGM, BID Awards & Operating Board Meetings.
  • Steering Groups: Act as the BID representative at relevant business meetings, such as PubWatch and other steering groups, providing a key voice for our members.
  • Ballot: Support the BID Management Team with the engagement prior to the BID Ballot.
  • Data: Keep all levy payers contact details up to date, including change of company and vacancy count. Upload all interactions on CRM system to evidence engagement.
  • Growth: Growing the BID Member Voluntary Membership by promoting the benefits to non-BID Member businesses.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written skills to engage diverse stakeholders. Confident to speak to high-level stakeholders, including in large meetings.
  • Proactive Attitude: A positive, “can-do” approach to solving problems for local businesses.
  • Experience: Proven experience in relationship management and stakeholder engagement. Experience in Business Improvement Districts/place management and sales would be an advantage.
  • IT Skills: Good knowledge of Client Relationship Management systems (CRM) and Microsoft Office including Excel. A tablet will be provided.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualification/training in communications, business, customer service or similar.
  • Time Management: Must be able to manage own time and fulfil tasks within the desired timeframe, often managing multiple projects.
  • Team Player: Be able to take direction from and work alongside our Business Communications Manager and work in partnership with the BID Patrol Team as well as external agencies such as Police, Local Authority and other key services.
  • Location: The BID Office will be the base, however, walking round the businesses in the city centre on a day-to-day basis and attending external meetings (held within the city centre) are the main parts of the role.
  • Shift Pattern: Core days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This will vary, however, depending on business needs, meetings and events. Must be flexible to work different days/hours from week-to-week to ensure all business opening hours and events are covered.
