Job Role: Drug & Alcohol Support Worker (Domestic Abuse) Female only

Salary: £25,500 per year

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week

Contract type: Fixed Term Contract – ending July 2025

Location: Bath

Additional information:

  • On-call (1 in 4 weeks), £100/week when on-call

The Role:

To provide comprehensive, holistic needs assessment, support planning, progress monitoring and review for clients with a range of complex, social and housing need. The post holder is also responsible for delivering support to service users with complex needs who have experienced domestic abuse and been provided with short term, emergency refuge accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Empower clients with complex needs to reclaim their independence and safety.
  • Conduct thorough needs and risk assessments following our service procedures.
  • Build professional, supportive relationships with service users and external agencies.
  • Refer clients experiencing drug or alcohol issues to DHI for specialized support.
  • Flexibility is key—your role may evolve with changing business needs.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle (business insurance required for work travel).
  • Knowledge of Domestic Violence (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs such as substance misuse or mental health challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of addiction and the recovery process.
