We are a fast-growing nutraceutical manufacturing company looking for an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join our production team. This role is ideal for someone technically strong, proactive, and confident working independently to diagnose and resolve machinery and production issues.

The successful candidate must have proven experience working with forming and packing machinery. Experience within nutraceutical, food, pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing environments would be highly advantageous, particularly with equipment such as filling, forming, capsuling, sealing, or packaging machines — although candidates from other manufacturing sectors with strong transferable experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production and packaging machinery.
  • Diagnose faults quickly and implement effective repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot forming and packing machines.
  • Support continuous improvement of machinery performance and production efficiency.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth operation of manufacturing lines.
  • Assist with machine installations, upgrades, and modifications when required.
  • Maintain maintenance records and ensure compliance with health & safety standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
  • Essential experience working with forming and packing machinery.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and solve technical problems proactively.
  • Confident troubleshooting machinery issues without constant supervision.
  • Good understanding of production equipment and maintenance systems.
  • Experience within food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or similar industries is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience with capsuling, filling, or packaging machinery is beneficial.
  • Flexible, practical, and hands-on approach.

Ideal Candidate

  • Technically minded with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable and self-sufficient.
  • Calm under pressure and able to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Committed to maintaining high production and safety standards.
  • Looking to grow within a fast-paced and expanding manufacturing business.

If you are an experienced engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving machinery performance, and working in a dynamic production environment, we would like to hear from you.
