Salary: £30,000 pa pro rata for a 21 hrs week = £18,000 pa

The Marketing Officer will lead in the creation & delivery of all marketing activities for the Theatre Royal Dumfries, managing our advertising, print design, website content, and social media presence.
- Advertising incoming & home-produced professional and community shows including our resident amateur theatre company- the Guild of Players.
- Marketing opportunities for corporate hires, costume hire etc
- Marketing our Heritage and Tourism offer
- Raising awareness of the Guild of Players and Theatre Royal brands, and the considerable amount of community, educational and youth work that we host, attracting more partner organisations, participants and funding.
- Audience development through better utilising our Box Office computer system and market research.
Home to The Guild of Players, the Theatre Royal (the oldest working theatre in Scotland) is in the heart of Dumfries and first opened its doors in 1792. It has strong associations with the renowned Scottish poet Robert Burns, who wrote several pieces specifically for its stage.
Attend one of our world-class touring productions presented throughout the year with everything from live music, to stand up comedy and theatrical dramas, ensuring that local communities have access to the best performing arts shows in their town.
Our bar opens 1 hour before the show. Come along and enjoy a variety of beverages, soft drinks and snacks.
The Guild of Players presents a regular season of four shows, as well as a family-friendly Christmas pantomime.
