Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Mechanic to join our team based in Solihull. Working in this role you will mainly be responsible for providing an effective maintenance and repair service of vehicles and machinery to your contract. The total working hours for this role is 40 per week on a permanent contract.

Are you who we are looking for?

• Undertake all routine and specialised service maintenance, focusing on best practice.
• Maintain tools responsibly, including cleaning, oiling, and sharpening as directed. Damaged or lost items to be reported to your supervisor.
• Basic IT knowledge for creating job cards and utilising systems.
• Mechanical knowledge of grounds equipment with a suitable qualification.
• Capable of working safely using a range of equipment and hand tools.
• Booking of commercial vehicles into fleet for repairs.
• Be responsible for raising orders for parts from suppliers, managing stock control and distributing purchase order numbers.
• Significant experience of welding to a high-quality standard, ensuring efficient and effective repairs are carried out in line with timescales whilst maintain a focus on safety
• Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Knowledge and skills to repair, maintain and service the following machines/equipment: ride on mowers, chippers, strimmer’s, blowers, two stroke equipment, tyre repairs, stump grinders etc.
• Take responsibility in the security of vehicles, machinery, and materials.
• The successful candidate will possess a full UK driving license as small van comes with role.
