Registered Home Manager
Location: Oban, Argyll and Bute area.
Salary: £37,327 – £49,440 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications) plus £2,000 annual car allowance
New Reflexions is a childcare organisation dedicated to offering care, education, and therapy services to young people who have encountered trauma, leading to emotional and behavioural challenges. Specifically, the New Reflexions Children’s Residential Service provides therapeutic placements, catering to individuals aged between 10 and 18 years, for both short-term and long-term placements.

Main Role and Responsibilities :
- To efficiently provide leadership and management of the Home in line with the Statement of Purpose, and all regulations and legislation relating to residential childcare and positive outcomes with regulators.
- To actively work with the Referrals Manager to ensure appropriate placements are made and maintained.
- To know, understand, implement, model, provide a safe, caring environment to enable the emotional, social, and educational development of our young people.
- To represent the company in a professional manner and ensure effective partnership working within the organisation and with external agencies.
- To work within New reflexions Policies and Procedures at all times to ensure compliance.
- As part of our Behaviour Management Model (RTI) Managers must ensure that an incident review is conducted following every incident involving physical intervention, including de-briefs and reflective practice in line with regulations.
Our homes offer long term placements where young people receive a high level of nurturing and therapeutic care. Residents are supported to attend school or college and are equipped to become successful young adults in the future.
We also have 1 response home that offer an immediate response for young people who may be experiencing a crisis in their life. Placements are generally kept to 90 days. Our residents are offered a specially tailored programme containing a considerable amount of outdoor activities provided by the staff team throughout their stay. This provides the young people with fun, but also space and time to work through their difficulties and seek the help and support they need.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK manual driving Licence; access to own vehicle
- Hold a SVQ Level 7 Qualification or equivalent
- Have a minimum of 1 years’ Senior RCW experience

- Able to complete a rota pattern with Sleep ins
- A keen interest in outdoor education is advantageous as we encourage our young people to be actively involved in the outdoors.
We offer care workers support through our comprehensive paid two-week in-person training program, when you first join us (Please not you will be required to travel to our head office in Shrewsbury, Shropshire for the initial training. Accommodation will be provided). After finishing your training, you will become familiar with your role by meeting your team, attending a house meeting, and shadow shifts, which will help you ease into your duties. Managers will be on hand to offer assistance and guidance whenever required.
